Dear Parents and Guardians,
The Gorman Fort Banks PTO would like to welcome you to our school! For those of you who may be unfamiliar with the PTO, we are a volunteer organization dedicated to the successful education of our children. The Gorman Fort Banks PTO works hard to help ensure that the school year is enjoyable and exciting for students, parents and teachers.
The purpose of our organization is to provide support for the educational and recreational needs of our students, facilitate communication between administration, teachers and parents and to promote school spirit and pride. Our fundraising efforts help fund enrichment programs, classroom activities, technology and equipment and many other needs. We also organize numerous fun-filled family events and educational programs throughout the year.
We encourage you to become a member of the PTO and are excited to meet parents and guardians that would like to get involved this year. With your donation of $5.00 per family, you can have a hand in enhancing your child’s learning experience. 100% of these donations supports the needs of our children. Simply fill out the attached envelope (your child will bring it home during the week of September 8th), enclose your donation and return to school with your child.
We welcome your participation in our organization. There are numerous volunteer opportunities available; volunteers make our programs and events a success! Your involvement helps build a strong home-school connection and is a key component of a successful school year. All volunteers are required to have a CORI on file; CORI forms are available at the school and must be updated yearly. Additionally, attending our meetings is a wonderful opportunity to stay informed and learn what is happening in our school. Our meetings are held monthly, at which time we discuss events, plan fundraisers and share ideas and concerns.
