PTO Executive Board

WANTED
Parents with a Can Do Attitude!

All of the Gorman Fort Banks PTO Executive Board positions are open. Don't think that you need to be a stay at home parent in order to run! The requirements are that you have a "let's get this done" attitude with a firm commitment to enrich the lives and education of the Fort Banks students.

The current board essentially volunteered so long as they had a co-member to run with them. With that, we now have 2 presidents, 2 vice presidents, 2 secretaries and one treasurer. The majority of our board members are "graduating" to the Cummings. We hope you consider getting more involved for the 2011-12 school year by submitting your interest in time for elections in June.

Positions available:
  • Co-president, 1 year term
  • Co-president, 2 year term
  • Co-vice president, 1 year term
  • Co-vice president, 2 year term
  • Co-secretary, 1 year term
  • Co-secretary, 2 year term
  • Co-treasurer, 1 year term
  • Co-treasurer, 2 year term

If you have any questions or would like to submit your name for a board position, please reply in the comments section below. Your response will not be posted and will remain confidential.

Clothing Drive - The results

It was a terrific success. Thank you to all who volunteered and donated. The numbers aren't in but we'll try to have preliminary results for our next PTO meeting on Wednesday, May 4th at 8:30 am in the cafeteria.

Clothing Drive Volunteers Needed

Do you know how to open a car door? Can you lift a trash bag filled with clothes? Are you free anytime between the hours of 7:30 AM and 10 AM on Wednesday  April 27th - even for only a hour? If so, you're qualified to join our team of motivated, over-caffeinated* parents to collect clothes!
We're looking for people to help from 7:30 AM until 10:30 AM. You wouldn't necessarily need to stay the whole time (though you could if you want...).
Please contact Cindy Silva at silvabullet01[insert the @ symbol here]comcast[insert the . here]net by Thursday, 4/21 noon if you can help. Please give the timeframe, so that we can be sure to have enough coverage. Don't be shy about forwarding this post along. The more the merrier. Please let us know if you have any questions.
We are just down the street from Dunkin Donuts!
